Terms of service

The service

mediaconvert converts files between formats, free of charge for normal personal use. Conversions run on our servers using open-source engines; results are available for download for up to 24 hours, after which files are deleted automatically.

Your responsibilities

Only convert files you own or have the right to use. You are responsible for the content of your files and for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Don't abuse the service: no malware, no attempts to disrupt or overload the platform, no circumventing rate limits. We may throttle or block traffic that threatens the service's stability.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Conversions are performed on a best-effort basis; always keep your original files. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the service, including lost or corrupted files.

Changes

We may change, limit or discontinue features at any time. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
